CAS ban Contador for something so long ago they can’t even remember what it was

Contador was very pumped up after winning yellow

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has banned Alberto Contador for two years for something he did so long ago that everyone’s forgotten what actually happened.

The two-year ban handed to the Spaniard started from the date of the unknown transgression, meaning he has been eligible to compete again for some time as the 24 months expired at some point in the distant past.

This latest debacle to rock the world of cycling makes the ongoing John Terry racism saga look as smooth as a Lance Armstrong blood transfusion.

Contador made sounds that he was unhappy about being punished for something which had slipped his mind long ago, whilst riders who were elevated to winning competitions following his conviction seemed bemused as the events had taken place “before we started taking drugs ourselves”.

Aye it’s a rather odd situation shirley? Bizarre how they can decide to ban someone for two years eighteen months into the ban. But we must remember: this is professional cycling!
