Boxing sinks to new lows as Haye and Chisora reveal themselves to be classier than most

Perceptions of boxing are plumbing new depths after the playground fight between David Haye and Dereck Chisora ended far more sportingly than a lot of clashes in the sport.

Haye stopped Chisora in the fifth round and the rivals then shook hands and shared a cosy hug for the cameras.

“I’ve got a new-found respect for him,” Haye told the disappointed reporters.

“But that’s only because I didn’t have any respect for him before.”
