Security alert in Ukraine amidst fears Nicklas Bendtner could go commando in final group game

Lviv is on red alert for tomorrow’s Euro 2012 match between Denmark and Germany after doubts emerged over Nicklas Bendtner wearing underwear.

Uefa began disciplinary proceedings against the alleged striker after he pulled down his shorts to reveal a Paddy Power logo on his underwear when he scored against Portugal.

Uefa confirmed, “We are appalled that a player would expose his underwear which promoted a company not affiliated with Uefa and not earning revenue for our deep pockets.”

The Danish FA (presumably with straight faces) responded, “We have spoken with the player and he will not wear those underpants against Germany.”

Portugal are also said to be under investigation for match-fixing due to suspicions about how on earth they could have let Bendtner score two goals against them.
