Jeremy Hunt in e-mail plea to Steve Kean on how to avoid the sack

New e-mail embarrassment has emerged for culture secretary Jeremy Hunt after the leak of a recent request to beleaguered Blackburn boss Steve Kean requesting advice on how to avoid getting canned.

Hunt is struggling to hold onto his job in the aftermath of a series of revelations during the Leveson inquiry which are almost as damning as Blackburn’s relegation form.

The leaked e-mail goes:

Dear Steve,

Yakking on with excuses

As I find myself in the position where even my most loyal followers and colleagues are baying for my head, I was wondering if you could give me some insight into how you’ve hung in there so long.

Obviously having owners as incompetent in Venky’s helps, but as David Cameron is my boss I have a similar advantage so if you can let me know any other tips I should be able to survive.

JH

P.S. If it doesn’t work out up there have you considered becoming a Conservative MP? Your popularity in northern areas like Blackburn couldn’t really get any worse anyway.

Hunt is a knob and a half.
