Paul Robinson traumatised after letting in last-gasp Carroll header

We regret to report that Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson is struggling to recover after seeing Andy Carroll’s injury-time header fly past him to seal the Reds’ 3-2 win at Ewood Park last night.

It remains unclear whether Robinson will ever be able to play football again, such was the shock that he experienced.

Catatonic

His wife indignantly said, “When he came home he couldn’t speak so I put him straight to bed.

“During the night he was having horrible nightmares about a flying ponytail.

“When he woke up he was even worse, shaking and shivering and crying out at the merest thought of going to training.

“As if losing to Liverpool wasn’t traumatic enough, what happened last night bordered on abusive.

“Steve Kean has a lot to answer for for what he’s done to my poor baby.”
