Manchester City appoint George Galloway interim boss for title run-in

Second revolution in a week

Rumours suggest that Manchester City have finally got rid of their deadweight Italian manager Roberto Mancini and replaced him with resurgent politician George Galloway.

City are struggling to keep up with rivals United and now require the same sort of shocking turnaround that Galloway provided in Bradford West last week.

Concerns about Galloway’s controversial past and polemic political opinions have been waved away by City on the basis of him not being Roberto Mancini.

Galloway triumphantly trumpeted, “This is the most spectacular result in football since Sunderland drew at the Etihad yesterday afternoon.

“This represents, if you like, the ‘Plastic Spring’.”
