Dalglish sends Andy Carroll to go queue for petrol this weekend

Kenny Dalglish has justified Alan Shearer’s backing of him as Liverpool manager by finding a far more suitable role for £35 million man Andy Carroll this weekend.

The Scot has confirmed that Carroll will not be used on the pitch by the Reds, but will instead be spending his time trying to get through the defensive lines at the nearest petrol station in order to stock up for the entire squad.

Dalglish explained, “I’ve had a chat with the coaching staff and we think getting in line at the local petrol station will be Andy’s best position.

“His incredible technique of standing around all day, shouting at everyone and getting increasingly frustrated should guarantee us enough oil to see us through until the uncertainty about strike action is over.

“Charlie Adam’s quite concerned about the ‘pasty tax’ as well so we’ll get Andy to ask about that in the shop too.”

I shouldn’t laugh as I had hunt down a petrol station last night just so I can fill up to go see Leicester City away to Peterborough, and they put the price up too.

Don’t we have such a great government scare mongering to add pennies to the tax pot!!!

I’d blame Francis Maude – everyone else does. Especially if Leicester lose.
