Fulham spend weekend trying to avoid becoming next Nova FC

58 problems but the pitch ain't one

Fulham’s weekend of graft is well underway as they look to make sure they do not become the next Nova FC, who lost 58-0 recently, when they visit Old Trafford on Monday night.

Manager Martin Jol, who has plenty of previous experience getting battered by United as a former Spurs boss, has attempted to approach the impending thrashing in a typically calm style.

“Very few sides capitulate against United better than Fulham,” Jol mused.

“We’ve been watching the Nova FC game over and over to try and look where they went wrong so that we can be prepared for our match.

“We’re going to take a proper whalloping of course, but if we put the effort in we might avoid the humiliation of beating Nova’s record.”
