Next year’s Cheltenham punters to gamble on how many horses die per race

The bookies are looking to exploit next year’s horse massacre, the Cheltenham Festival, by introducing odds on the deaths of the animals in each race.

Silly hat-wearing festival goers will therefore be able to have a flutter on how many horses die, and even hope to earn money by guessing which of the runners will fail to make it to the finishing line – both literally and metaphorically.

Keen followers of horse racing (i.e. gambling addicts) are now set to spend the next twelve months engaged in ethical debates over this latest issue, whilst everyone else is to remain as appalled and indifferent towards it as ever.

Unlucky for some

I heard MacDonalds were going to sponsor some races next time and any that die will be on the menu at a resturant near you (only at participating establishments only)
