Chelsea players support AVB enough to get him maximum severance deal

Despite speculation that the relationship between Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas and his squad is as bad as their form on the pitch, it seems that the players are doing everything they can to force owner Roman Abramovich to give the Portuguese the maximum compensation for terminating his contract as soon as possible.

Another poor showing in the 1-0 defeat at West Brom left the world of football holding its breath for the announcement that they manager and the club had “parted company by mutual consent”, but it could be that the players will have to dig deeper into their hearts of gold to come up with even more dross before AVB secures his payoff.

One experienced midfielder who wished to remain anonymous (as he had been for most of the match) confirmed, “The boys are fully behind the gaffer and we’re playing with our hearts on our sleeves to get him that severance money.

“It’s the most motivated we’ve been since he arrived because playing for money is the only thing we really understand here at Chelsea.”

Something is wrong for sure in Chelsea. I think they will be back strong next year though.
