Police and bailiffs have reported that the dress rehearsal eviction of people expected to camp outside the Olympic stadium this summer has been relatively successful.

A group was finally evicted from the area around St Paul’s Cathedral having been there for literally hours, waiting to learn who the new England football captain will be.

A Met spokesperson revealed, “We are satisfied with how the operation has gone, especially as there were fewer plastic beer glasses than we expected that needed clearing up.

“The police force and bailiffs feel that this has been an excellent rehearsal for the Olympic Games, although we didn’t have to deal with David Beckham loitering with the hope of getting into the football side.”

And a member of the St Paul’s clergy added, “If everyone is regretful now, imagine how they’ll be feeling in six months.”

Cheers fella, it could be the apocalyptic 2012 event that the Mayans got so worked up about. Pearson’s boys still battling hard against relegation I trust?
