“I’m not paid enough to put up with this rubbish!” fumes Capello

£6m was sweet FA for Capello

England manager Fabio Capello has quit, complaining that the amount of nonsense he had to put up with from the players and the FA was not compensated for by his £6 million salary.

The Italian is adamant that anyone required to talk to individuals like John Terry and David Bernstein deserves as much money as they ask for.

“I wasn’t upset that they removed Terry as captain – I was however furious that I’d still have to take responsibility for him this summer!” Capello raged.

“When they told me he wouldn’t be forced to leave the international scene all together I demanded a raise but they said there was more chance of Andy Carroll being top scorer at Euro 2012.

“If Harry Redknapp wants this gig he can have it.

“He won’t have to pay any tax on his salary, I suppose.”

Poor Fabs. Those cretins at the FA have left us in another fine mess.
