Nigel Pearson “could be new Steve McLaren”

January 15, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

Leicester City supporters continue to discuss the possibility that manager Nigel Pearson is becoming former England boss Steve McLaren.

McLaren followed on from Sven Goran Eriksson for the national team and Pearson is the Swede’s predecessor at the Walkers Stadium, but the similarities do not end there.

"Need a brolly?"

Conversations were inspired by the disappointing 1-2 defeat at home to Barnsley, meaning that the Foxes slump towards mediocrity is almost complete as they lie 15th in the table.

“Leicester’s like Pearson’s FC Twente,” supporter Steve noted.

“We’re waiting for the moment where he’s stood there in the rain with a big old umbrella for confirmation that his days are numbered.”

For Stevo

We seem to be going backwards – we have the money – the support – the manager supposidly – what is missing is the quality on the pitch – on Saturday I noted just one tackle of note by our team

then last night we go and win 4-0 against Forest – should have been double that too.
next up Southampton – hopefully we can do the double over them

Pretty inconsistent seems. Saints flying high – Pearson might need the umbrella for that one.
