Chelsea eager to swap Tim Howard for Fernando Torres

Goalkeeper Tim Howard’s extraordinary strike for Everton last night has aroused interest from Chelsea, who are desperate to find someone with a sharper eye for goal than £50 million man Fernando Torres.

Howard is now leading Torres in terms of goals in 2012 and it could be a long time until the Spaniard overhauls him – if at all.

Howard considering his options

Chelsea’s Andre Villas-Boas admitted, “Gary Cahill wasn’t the only player we were scouting at Goodison Park yesterday.

“We couldn’t help noticing Howard was more confident shooting from 102 yards than Torres is from two.

“Right now we’ve got nothing to lose.”

Your’s are genius! Do you just make them up on the spot? Really smart. Thanks very much by the way – much appreciated 🙂

Thanks you’re too kind. I’ve been writing for a while so I tend to shoot fairly regularly.

    Nice one. Stolen from Twitter:

I’m sorry, but if you’re going to give Tim Howard that much space he’s going to punish you. Simple as that.

The wind now has more assists than Stewart Downing.

Dalglish has offered £30m for Howard based on his goals per game ratio over the last one game.

Fair shout. I would imagine many Premier League managers are interested in the free-scoring Howard.
