Wes Brown finally gets a manager sacked

He may be approaching the end of his playing career but Wes Brown has finally achieved what he seems to have been aiming for since he started – getting his manager sacked.

Steve Bruce was told to clear off by Sunderland after Brown’s tragic late slip against Wigan cost his side at home and hammered the final nail into his beleaguered boss’s coffin.

Brown was clinical against Wigan

Brown triumphantly said, “I was frustrated throughout my time at United by Sir Alex being untouchable.

“No matter how badly I played it was never going to affect him too much.

“But I have proved my critics wrong by showing clearly that my move to Sunderland was the right one.”
