Football supporters mourn ‘Football Focus’

Now well into another Premier League season, sadness is growing as the once watchable BBC ‘Football Focus’ programme becomes more and more horrendous from a sporting viewpoint.

Fronted by Dan Walker about as effectively as Dimitar Berbatov fronts a Manchester United counter-attack, viewers are left wondering if they have somehow turned on the wrong channel on a weekly basis.

"FFS!" more like

Bemused Mike from Darlington said, “I’m sure it was FF because I saw the opening sequence and accompanying dirge but as the minutes dragged by I had to start questioning myself.

“I was watching endless rubbish about some guy I’d never seen talking to another guy I’d never seen about nothing, and then the same thing happened over and over!”

Matt from Grimsby added, “Match of the Day is managing to cling on like Steve Kean mainly because they still show football on there, but the people behind Football Focus seem to have forgotten about including any actual coverage, which is a bit of an own-goal.

“Every time I’m daft enough to switch it on to see if it’s improved, I end up wishing that the equestrian would start half an hour early.”

Programmes like this need more Vinnie Jones and Dennis Wise.
