Disillusioned Everton supporters urged to take notes on Cairo protests

Everton supporters who held a protest against the club’s board and its transfer policy before the weekend match against Wolves are being encouraged to improve their attempts to cause a bit of mayhem by watching coverage of the ongoing Egyptian unrest.

The people in Cairo are venting their fury at the delayed handover of the running of their country – something that some of the Goodison Park faithful can apparently relate to.

Kenwright doesn't even realise it's a protest

“It’s worth bearing in mind,” admitted one Blue Union member. “Some said we didn’t even wake Bill Kenwright from his nap in the director’s box on Saturday.

“The game was so dull that he didn’t stir until after five as it happens.

“That’s the problem in a nutshell – we just need to communicate it a bit more effectively.

“Or loudly.”
