Murray “too Scottish” say English

November 18, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

Following Boris Becker’s comments reiterating what everyone has already said a million times about Andy Murray playing too negatively, English people have claimed that the fact that he is Scottish might have more to do with his lack of Grand Slam success.

Despite reaching finals before Murray has failed miserably at every attempt, leading many south of the border to argue that it will be impossible for him to ever be a truly great sportsman if he is doomed to remain forever Scottish.

“Even at Wimbledon I can’t force myself to support him,” explained Rick from Brighton.

“Spanish, Swiss, Serbian and Germans are more acceptable champions at the all-England club.”

Murrary retorted, “They might have beaten Spain in a friendly but they won’t if they have to play them in a match where Villa and the rest are actually trying!”
