EDL could be banned over links to Millwall supporters’ front

Home Secretary Theresa May is again considering banning an extreme movement in London after suggestions that the EDL could be a front for Millwall supporters.

May this week was forced to ban Muslims Against Crusades when revelations emerged that they were linked to an Arsenal fan group whose twilight wailings were keeping most of north London awake at night.

May said, “The British government wholly accepts peaceful protests, even those by whiny, disillusioned football supporters.

“However, if upon further investigation it is found that there are indeed links between the EDL and Millwall, we will have to take action.

“Tolerating the EDL is one thing, but we cannot allow groups to form to promote the aims of such an extreme Championship movement.”
