Steve Kean seeks Papandreou as special advisor

Besieged Blackburn boss Steve Kean is looking into hiring Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou in a consultant role to advise him on how to unify a mass of disillusioned followers.

In the aftermath of Blackburn’s home defeat to Chelsea, Kean is certain to need to pull off the same kind of victory in the weekly vote of confidence as Papandreou achieved on Friday night.

“He certainly needs all the help he can get,” confirmed former Blackburn man Alan Shearer.

“Everyone at the club wants blood and there’s not even hope of a bailout till January, especially from Venky’s.

Kean himself was philosophical about his doomed tenure and said, “At times like this I look to the sky for inspiration.

“Unfortunately that didn’t help today because  the plane trailing the banner calling for me to get the sack was the only thing to see up there.”
