Brendan Rodgers “amazed” at Dalglish politeness

Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers has been speaking before their match at Anfield of his amazement at receiving a nice gesture from Kenny Dalglish after his side’s promotion.

Dalglish apparently sent a letter of congratulations after their play-off victory, stunning many at the club who assumed it was a complaint letter which was supposed to go to Mike Riley.

“Not only was the letter nice, it was also the first to arrive,” an astonished Rodgers told us in an exclusive interview.

“I was expecting to find it to be a rant about refereeing decisions sent to the wrong address, but it really was to congratulate Swansea.

“Don’t know what came over him.

“With that and Bellamy’s mind games this week, me and the boys don’t know what we’re supposed to do when we go there.”
