Dalglish urges FA to flip coin to put end to racism saga

Kenny Dalglish has urged the FA to come to a decision over the alleged racist comments by striker Luis Suarez against Manchester United’s Patrice Evra by flipping a coin so that the Uruguayan can be found innocent as soon as possible.

With the unsavoury issue providing an excellent example of the FA’s inability to do anything or make any decision with authority and certainty, Dalglish’s suggestion offers a quick solution to something which isn’t going to be solved definitively in the long-term anyway.

“It’s like the FA’s stuck between Wayne Rooney and Nemanja Vidic,” Dalglish muttered.

“Whichever way they go, they’re going to get a terrible kicking.

“I’ve never seen or heard any evidence of racism at Liverpool, and if I had I certainly wouldn’t tell you lot.

“Luis Suarez is an ambassador for the club in the modern era – he’ll do whatever it takes to help his team to win, whether it’s within the rules or not.

“Try and prove otherwise.”
