FA instructs Ferguson not to talk about the weather

The FA has advised Sir Alex Ferguson that he must not discuss the weather during Sunday’s crucial Manchester derby, as well as everything else, or risk disciplinary procedures.

It follows their instruction that he not talk about the ongoing Patrice Evra racism debate, despite everyone else going on about it incessantly.

In a rather dry and mundane press conference, Ferguson murmured, “I guess I could tell you what I had for breakfast, but you should already know it was salty porridge.”

An FA spokesman explained, “Given Sir Alex’s past behaviour, we’ve extended the list of things he’s not allowed to talk about to include the weather, Wayne Rooney’s hair, and Ryan Giggs’ love life.

“You’d think we were joking about the first two, but we’re deadly serious about the last one.

“Honestly. We’ve heard enough already.”
