Disruption over after Allardyce attempts another clearout

A day of scuffling in south east England is reportedly over after Sam Allardyce again tried to rid West Ham United of a group of travellers.

Struggles have been ongoing for some time with repeated attempts by the club to force individuals like David Bentley and Frederic Piquionne off their training ground.

“The problems escalated today with regards to a few blokes who are unwilling to move on,” said outspoken chairman David Gold.

“There’s some guys at the club who are refusing to leave, no matter how clear we make it that we want them to.

“They argued that Big Sam’s request that they join in with light jogging was a breach of the peace.

“There was a bit of trouble when the police had to get involved, but they couldn’t really do much because the players’ agents demanded lengthy contracts when they signed, so we’re stuck with them for a while yet.

“Basildon County Council can consider themselves very lucky.”
